Ross & Jessica

I have so many sessions from 2017 that I never got to share so bear with me as we slowly reminisce on the blog this year. I have been wanting to share this wedding for quite some time not only because these are friends but also because they planned such a beautiful day. They got married at the Nest in Birmingham on a warm day in August and with the help of several talented vendors created such a lovely celebration.

Valentine Pop-up Market

I got to spend a little time with our local Anthropologie team, at Old Fronds adorable shop, to create some social media images for their Pop up Market happening tonight, (Tuesday, February 13th 5pm - 7pm) The pop up is featuring flowers from Old Frond and macarons from Whisk. I can't think of any better treats for yourself or someone special!

Faith Woods Events

One of my favorite things to photograph are portraits of women. My second favorite is to capture small businesses owners in their element. When these two things come together its perfection for me! I have known Faith of Faith Woods Events for several years now and she is not only the most joyful person you will ever meet but so very talented. Seriously, I wish I could get married again (to the same guy) just so she could plan it for me! We met up at Green Mountain on a VERY cold morning for this shoot. The A-frame building provided the perfect cozy backdrop for Faith to create her magic in. Also, PLEASE someone get married there and let me photograph it!

Green Mountain Engagment session

So I have been avoiding starting this blog for quite some time now. Writing has never been a passion of mine and I know that once I officially start I am signing up to the commitment of writing regularly, which I know I wont do. However, whenever I visit a blog I am really more interested in the pretty pictures and less interested in the words surrounding them. That's the beautiful thing about photographs, they tend to tell their own story and more often than not explanation isn't really needed. Posting photographs is definitely something I feel more comfortable committing to and I hope to do my best to tell the subjects story through them.

Olivia and David are high school sweethearts who will be tying the knot at the lumberyard next fall. We met up at green mountain for their session with their two dogs! I never get an opportunity to photograph animals outside of my own, so I was very excited they choose to bring them along. Luckily we were able to capture the very end of the fall foliage for the year. That mixed with the chilly weather made for a very cozy session.
